A shopping center in Abbotsford, BC that would become home to Shoppers Drug Mart and TD Canada Trust. The structure was multi-level built from concrete, masonry walls, and structural steel. Architecturally pleasing, it required demountable canopies because of property easements and structural steel on the roof framing to support gauge steel framing that made up the sloping parapet roof lines.
Our scope of work for the project was steel structure, stairs, canopies, and a roof screen structure that was independent of the roof structure. Roof screen framing was bolted to several 24″ x 24″ pavers while accounting for elevations changes to the roof. Misc steel included handrails, guardrails, interior and exterior stairs, loading dock rails, garbage enclosure gates, and rails for a long wheelchair-accessible ramp.
